SMS reminders

SMS reminders are optional.

The full Leo's Light app — documents, dashboards, chat, check-ins, in-app reminders, everything — works without ever giving us a phone number. SMS is one extra channel you can turn on if you'd like a quiet text when a dose is due. Nothing else in the product depends on it.

Leo's Light can text you when it's time to give your pet a dose, or when something on their care schedule needs your attention. This page explains exactly how the program works, how to opt in, and how to stop.

How to opt in

Opt-in happens only on our website, after signing in. There is no offline, verbal, paper, in-store, QR, or keyword opt-in path.

  1. Sign in to your account at leoslight.pet.
  2. Open Account from the menu.
  3. Scroll to "SMS reminder opt-in" and enter your mobile number in international format (for example, +15551234567).
  4. Read the consent statement and check the box to agree. The box is unchecked by default — you have to actively check it.
  5. Tap "Turn on reminders" to save.

Consent to receive these texts is not required as a condition of using Leo's Light or any other Leo's Light feature.

The consent statement

When you check the consent box, this is exactly what you agree to:

Sample messages

Reminders are short and gentle. Every message ends with our paw mark.

  • Leo's Light: it's time for Leo's 7:00 pm gabapentin (100 mg). Reply DONE when given. Reply STOP to opt out. 🐾
  • Leo's Light: Bella's morning meloxicam is due in 30 minutes. We have it on your schedule for 7:30 am. Reply STOP to opt out. 🐾

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message you receive from us and we'll stop texting you right away. You can also turn reminders off at any time from Account → Reminders by text → Turn off reminders.

Privacy

We use your number only to send the reminders you opted into. We do not share phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Full details are in our privacy policy.
